MetalMap is the 'child' of the old imagemap editor introduced in MetalWeb3. Now it is a lot of more powerfull, versatile and easy to use. It creates and image map in HTML format allowing you to have various links in a single image, to be more easy to use imagemaps you can use MetalWeb 4, using MW4 you can create image maps without any acknowledge of HTML programming.
